300 BLK ammunition cannot be used in a rifle chambered for 7.62×40mm Wilson Tactical. Its purpose is to achieve ballistics similar to the 7.62×39mm cartridge, or even more similarly, the 7.92×33mm Kurz cartridge in an M4 while using standard M4 magazines at their normal capacities.
But guys, it's a freaking 300 Blk - it has actual full power rifle loads available too.
At least hopefully the OP will try it on varmints first and realize how poor it is for HD before actually needing it. , also known as 7.62×35mm is an intermediate cartridge developed in the United States by Advanced Armament Corporation (AAC) for use in the M4 carbine. While subsonic ammunition surely does have its benefits when it comes to covert operations, close range, and personal defense, this kind of bullet is not ideal for the big game hunter. Subsonic 300 Blackout is also a crappy choice for home defense, and a relatively poor choice for varmint hunting as well. 300 AAC Blackout (designated as the 300 BLK by the SAAMI and 300 AAC Blackout for sale by the C.I.P. This added weight makes them naturally slower than a 110- grain bullet fired through the same barrel, even if the heavier bullets are charged with the same type and amount of gunpowder as a corresponding supersonic load. Less than satisfactory meaning I recovered zero hogs that hunt.
300 AAC Blackout loads usually weigh between 180- and 220- grains. Id hunted hogs with subsonic 300 Blackout ammunition before with less than satisfactory results.
